Brett Lance is 21 years old and was born and raised in Kansas City, MO.  He found disc golf in July 2020 when one of his friends asked him to give it a try.  Hitting a tree, quite possibly a squirrel, on his first-ever tee shot did not deter him from continuing his journey.  Brett started tournament play in 2021 and recorded his first-ever 997-rated round.  This is truly remarkable, considering the short amount of time he had been playing.  Since that milestone, he has committed himself to playing more MPO tournaments and fine-tuning his game by educating himself on the flight of the disc. This year, Brett has accepted the role of Team D'CLIP Captain for the 2024 season. We met Brett in 2023 working at Dynamic Discs KC North.  Offering to help us film some promotional videos, and seeing the dedication to his role at DD, we never had to question his work ethic.  When looking at his short disc golf career, we saw a young guy who excelled very quickly in his rating and skills, and he had won or placed well in some regional quality MPO events.  When we played a round with him, the smooth nature of his throw and his zest to score well, convinced us to pursue him as our Team D'CLIP Captain.
